USS Arizona Memorial and Aloha Flea Market Departing Waikiki, Oahu
About Your Tour
Experience the USS Arizona Memorial and then venture to the famous Aloha Flea Market for great deals on gifts and souvenirs on Oahu with our friendly and expert guide.
We start at Pearl Harbor where you’ll learn about the early morning December 7, 1941 attack by Japanese forces that sunk the USS Arizona and resulted in the tragic deaths of 1, 177 seamen. This devastating story is told in a 23-minute documentary featuring original archival footage of the attack. Following the film, you’ll board a Navy vessel and cross the harbor to the USS Arizona Memorial suspended over the sunken battleship. Once you board the Memorial, step into the Shrine Room where the names and ranks of the fallen heroes are etched in marble. Look into the water and note the oil droplets – “The Black Tears of the Arizona” – that continue to rise to the surface from the sunken battleship after nearly eight decades. Back on shore, the museums at Pearl Harbor Visitor Center showcase the day of infamy in the Road to War and Attack galleries.
After your Pearl Harbor visit, the tour continues to Oahu’s legendary Aloha Flea Market, also known as the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. This is the best place to do your souvenir and gift shopping from hundreds of vendors selling loads of Hawaii themed crafts, clothes, ukuleles, and artwork at bargain rates. You’ll have plenty of time to shop for everything and everyone on your list.
